I'd like to celebrate my fully-funded album project "Break Myself Free" with you! Woohoo! I'll sing and play for you a select handful of songs each week, invite you to sing or jam along, and answer any questions about this yet-to-be-recorded album project, songs themselves, etc. Consider this a casual lounge and Q&A session where we let music connect us more intimately via this online platform. Bonus, I also get to see your faces!
This concert series is free for anyone to enjoy, including all who have contributed to my campaign thus far (thank you!) AND anyone who attends that would like to to support is invited to make any contributions directly to my album campaign:
https://funding.plaiddogrecording.com/shireen-amini-album-campaign
Any funds beyond our goal will help me successfully promote the album and leverage my artist career by covering expenses for a music video, website, merchandise and more. The album is just the beginning of a rich and exciting journey!
These are powerful times. I intend to make music in service of healing and change. And I can't do it alone. Join me!
ABOUT OUR GUEST ARTISTS:
Theresa "Te" Martin has been leading community song circles in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past two years, is an organizer of the Thrive Street Choir, and recently completed an apprenticeship at Green Gulch Farm and Zen Center. Her purpose is to facilitate communities in singing for resilience and justice. Te is also a beautiful singer-songwriter and, for this concert, we will have the honor of hearing some of her original works! (Patreon: patreon.com/temartin, Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/temartinmusic)
Ian Carrick's mission is to reinvigorate our culture with community singing. In his vision, the act of singing together will feed our collective hunger for a more beautiful world, giving birth to practical systems of resilience and renewal. He founded Open Hub Singing, a drop-in non-audition community choir that now brings singing all across Central Oregon. Ian is also a deep, soulful, talented and fun singer-songwriter! For this concert, we will have the honor of hearing some of his original works! (Website: www.openhubsinging.com)
