Come get juiced up before the Central Oregon Women's March for Action 2018!

We will gather and sing at Mirror Pond Plaza (next to Crow's Feet Commons) directly adjacent to the starting point of the march (Drake Park). This is a FREE offering to the people to anchor in joy, connection, solidarity, and purpose before we march. No singing experience is required! Please feel free to bring friends, family, and anyone who would enjoy this community experience.

About Circlesinging:

Circlesinging is an improvised community experience much like a "drum circle" for singers with a facilitator guiding the musical journey. Prior to singing, everyone will have an opportunity to reflect on an intention. Then Shireen will sing your section a part that you will sing back and repeat as she goes around the circle and spontaneously constructs harmonizing and interlocking melodies, generating group motion, emotion, synergy, and spirit! We don't concern ourselves with perfection, we sing for the joy of it. All levels are welcome.

About the facilitator:

Shireen Amini is a musician, songwriter, and producer based in Bend, Oregon who leads the local Latin dance rock band, ¡Chiringa! She is certified in Sound, Voice, and Music Healing from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and has been trained in Circlesinging by Bobby McFerrin’s protege, David Worm, in Oakland, California. Shireen believes strongly in the power of music to heal, empower, and unite people. She is deeply honored to facilitate Circlesinging events for the Bend community!
