For this Earth Lovers Show, the focus will be on celebrating our relationship to this great mother of ours and juicing ourselves up with contemplations, co-created improvisations, and original songs by Shireen, the themes of which are anchored in healing, awakening, authenticity, and loving on our ailing planet.

Speaking of juice, I'm stoked to have ORA Juice Co. onboard offering their magical juices with a lil' splash of CBD for sale at the event...a little wholesome nod and wink to 4/20 ;) Non-CBD juice will also be available.

Come share the night with and take part in this music medicine movement. It will be a hell-uva time ;)

Ceremony is just an opportunity to pause, become intentional, and receive support. Ceremony in line with the change of seasons also allows us to deepen our attunement to the cycles of the Earth. In this interactive sound healing experience, we will have the opportunity to get a more expansive perspective of our lives and receive guidance in areas that ordinary consciousness cannot assist us with. You can also just come to relax and be deeply nourished! The sound can assist you however you need it to! Our format will begin with a brief group toning and check-in followed by a sound meditation and an opportunity for vocalizing and movement toward the end of our journey. To close, we will share any insights we received with the group but you are also welcome to hold your experience sacred. Yoga mats and pads will be provided. Please bring your own pillow and blanket.

About Circlesinging:

Circlesinging is an improvised community experience much like a "drum circle" for singers with a facilitator guiding the musical journey. Prior to singing, everyone will have an opportunity to reflect on an intention. Then Shireen will sing your section a part that you will sing back and repeat as she goes around the circle and spontaneously constructs harmonizing and interlocking melodies, generating group motion, emotion, synergy, and spirit! We don't concern ourselves with perfection, we sing for the joy of it. All levels are welcome.
Check out a sample video HERE: https://youtu.be/xW8avzO2mF8

About the facilitator:

Circlesinging CANCELLED until further notice...

...due to my recent medical diagnosis, vocal cords nodules. 2 week complete vocal rest is required for healing in addition to vocal rehabilitation.

I am deeply saddened to have to cancel Circlesinging, but am hopeful that addressing this issue now will preserve the health and longevity of my voice as well as my capacity to bring Circlesinging back. In the meantime, keep a lookout for singing events replacing the every 2nd and 4th Thursday timeslots at Hawthorn Healing Arts Center! Just because I have to take a break from singing does not mean you have to!

Thank you for your understanding. Until soon.
